SIG 716 DMR URBAN-SENTRY Hybrid Sling Kit

***If you have a SIG 716 DMR without the SIG advertised QD Socket on the front hand guard, you will need to ADD the QD 45 Degree Mount Socket to accept the front QD Adapter to use the sling.  SIG has recently changed the configuration of this rifle and started putting MLOK rail hand guards on this rifle instead of the picatinny rail mount with the built in QD socket to accept a sling as the advertised it as having.

(The weapons catch adapter attaches to either your belt or the PALS webbing of the sling on your offhand side so that when the SIG 716 DMR sling is configured as a single point, you can secure the front of the weapon to your offhand side instead of just letting the SIG 716 hang in front of you for hands free activities or shooting with your sidearm. The URBAN-SENTRY Sling as applied to the SIG 716 can be used in either a Tactical One Point or Two Point carry mode which allows the operator the ability to mission select the way the sling is configured for any scenario.) This package contains the URBAN SENTRY SIG-716 sling which is displayed in the photos as both a Two Point and Single Point Sling configuration.

If you choose to get the optional QD Triglide, it allows you to rapidly transform the sling from a two point into a one point sling without having to remove the sling to reconfigure it.  You simply install the QD Triglide onto the shoulder non elastic side of the sling using the locking speed tab of the sling body.  This allows you to simply unplug the QD Push Button Adapter from the front of the SIG716 hand guard and bring it up to your shoulder and plug it into the QD Triglide installed onto the sling thus rapidly transforming the sling into a single point sling.  To rapidly transform the SIG-716 sling back into a two point sling, simply unplug the QD Push button from the QD Triglde and plug it back into the QD Socket of the SIG 716G2 DMR factory sling QD mount.

This revolutionary SIG716 DMR Sling can be reconfigured from a TWO point sling to a ONE point sling and is far superior to any other on the market. It allows the operator to choose which configuration will suit them best. The ONE point sling configuration is more beneficial in urban areas during close quarter operations, where as the two point configuration will work best in rural areas, on sentry duty or on a static range. The conversion can be completed in less than a minute. The URBAN-SENTRY Hybrid SIG 716 Sling is a totally ambidextrous one point and two point sling. The US2 features a 2" wide main sling body which affords the operator a lot more comfort over longer periods of carry. Unlike the 1" & 1-1/4" slings that tend to cut into your shoulder and neck. The URBAN-SENTRY SIG-716 sling uses 2" wide nylon MIL-W-AA55301 webbing which evenly distributes the weight of the SIG 716. The URBAN-SENTRY series of slings also utilizes 1" nylon MIL-W-AA55301 webbing. The main sling body is universal to all weapons. What makes it specific to each weapon system are the Adapters that connect to the weapon. The SIG 716 sling utilizes the Quick Detach Jumbo Push Button Adapter on the rear sling attachment, and the Quick Detach Jumbo Push Button Adapter connected to the front SIG factory QD Socket mounted to the top picatinny rail.

The weapon will remain tight against you while stowed, however is ready to be deployed in an instant. To engage a target, simply grab the Cinch Strap Strap-lock, turn it perpendicular to the webbing like a bow string, and slide it to the rear over the webbing to rapidly release the sling to its pre-configured length. To re-cinch the sling, simply grab the Cinch Strap sewn tab, and push it away from you. The ability to secure the SIG 716 tight against your torso during hand to hand combat is a critical factor when choosing a sling, especially in rural areas. If you are alone, and your backup isn’t close, the URBAN-SENTRY SIG 716 sling configured as a two point sling is for you. This SIG 716 sling also benefits scouts, and hunters, which have to climb obstacles to get into position. In the event that a secondary weapon transition is necessary, the SIG 716 will fall centrally located, barrel pointing down, ensuring a clear path to your secondary weapon.
