The Stainless Steel MASH Clip Adapter is what we recommend on the SCAR due to being able to quickly and easily unclip it from the weapon's sling attachment points with or without gloves.  However, the inside edges of the MASH Clip can eat into the aluminum sling attachment if you don't debur the inside edge of the MASH Clip with a file.  We also include a length of 5-50 parachute cord.  You simply sleeve the MASH Clip rings with 1.25 inches of 5-50 cord, and melt the ends to the rings.  This sleeve mitigates damage done to the sling attachment of the SCAR.

The HK Clip is carbon steel with a gate that is more difficult to manipulate with gloves on, and since it is carbon steel the gate spring can eventually rust if not maintained with lubricant.  The HK Snap Clip is less aggressive on the aluminum SCAR's aluminum sling attachment points.  If you don't choose below, the MASH Clip is the default selection

The weapons catch adapter attaches to either your belt or the PALS webbing of the sling on your offhand side so that when the SCAR sling is configured as a single point, you can secure the front of the weapon to your offhand side instead of just letting the SCAR hang in front of you for hands free activities or shooting with your sidearm. The URBAN-SENTRY Sling as applied to the FN SCAR 16S Light or the FN SCAR 17S Heavy can be used in either a Tactical One Point or Two Point carry mode which allows the operator the ability to mission select the way the sling is configured for any scenario. You can either configure the sling into a dedicated One Point Sling, or into a dedicated Two Point Sling. The benefit of the SCAR is that it already has the two rear sling loops near the back of the receiver. This allows you to have the sling configured as a Two Point, and simply reach forward and disconnect the MASH clip from the front sling loop, and then connect it to the second rear sling loop thus rapidly transforming the sling into a One Point without having to reconfigure the sling. This package contains the URBAN SENTRY SCAR sling for the SCAR 16S/17S which is displayed in the photo as a Single Point configuration, but it can be converted into a Two Point configuration as well for either the SCAR Light or SCAR Heavy. This revolutionary SCAR Sling quickly converts from a TWO point sling to a ONE point sling and is far superior to any other on the market. It allows the operator to choose which configuration will suit them best. The ONE point sling configuration is more beneficial in urban areas during MOUT operations, where as the two point configuration will work best in rural areas, on TCP’s or sentry duty. The conversion can be completed in less than a minute. The URBAN-SENTRY Hybrid SCAR Sling is a totally ambidextrous one point and two point sling. The US2 features a 2" wide main sling body which affords the operator a lot more comfort over longer periods of carry. Unlike the 1" & 1-1/4" slings that tend to cut into your shoulder and neck. The URBAN-SENTRY SCAR sling’s 2" wide nylon MIL-W-4088K webbing evenly distributes the weight of the FN SCAR Heavy or FN SCAR Light. The main sling body is universal to all weapons. What makes it specific to each weapon system are the Adapters that connect to the weapon. The SCAR sling utilizes two ITW stainless Steel MASH Hooks which will not corrode. The MASH Clips have elastic silencers to help limit metal to metal noise and limit scratching. Applied to any weapon with front and rear sling attachments, the URBAN-SENTRY will secure your weapon similar to common 3 point tactical slings, but without the unnecessary excess webbing that runs along the rifle. This modular design allows the sling to be attached to any weapon system using the various URBAN-E.R.T. Adapters. Each standard hybrid sling kit comes with two Adapters of your choice, one for the front, and one for the rear. This SCAR Sling kit will come with the two MASH Hook Adapters. The weapon will remain tight against you while stowed, however is ready to be deployed in an instant. To engage a target, simply grab the “DBA- Cinch Strap-TM" Strap-lock, turn it perpendicular to the webbing like a bow string, and slide it to the rear over the webbing to rapidly release the sling to its pre-configured length. To re-cinch the sling, simply grab the “DBA-Cinch Strap-TM” sewn tab, and push it away from you. The ability to secure the SCAR tight against your torso during hand to hand combat is a critical factor when choosing a sling, especially in rural areas. If you are alone, and your backup isn’t close, the URBAN-SENTRY SCAR sling configured as a two point sling is for you. This SCAR sling also benefits snipers, scouts, and hunters, which have to climb obstacles to get into position. In the event that a secondary weapon transition is necessary, the SCAR will fall centrally located, barrel pointing down, ensuring a clear path to your secondary weapon. The best feature about the URBAN-SENTRY Sling for the FN SCAR Heavy, or FN SCAR Light is the ability to convert from a two point sling back to a one point sling rapidly without having to reconfigure the sling. You will have peace of mind knowing that your SCAR sling has the versatility of both types of slings.

This video demonstrates our E-RUSH Sling kit as well as the URBAN-SENTRY Hybrid Sling kit.  Not all features of the kit in the video will apply to your order if you aren't purchasing the E-RUSH Sling kit, or the Weapons Catch Adapter.

    Another very fine tactical sling

As with the other URBAN ERT slings, this one is exceptional. The quality and workmanship is actually without equal and the price is very reasonable.

Edited At Bottom: Sling works great, but attachment points not so well.

Posted by Unknown on May 25 2015

Love the overall comfort and function of this sling, but mash clips cause unacceptable damage to the SCAR attachment points. The instructions with the sling say I can file down the edges of the mash clips, but that didn't help much. It also says I can sleeve the mash clips with paracord, but this causes the sling to not move freely at the attachment point; interfering with my sighting on cheek weld. Would like to see a better option. Have the same sling for my Tavor and works flawlessly. URBAN-ERT SLINGS: Thanks for the great review. Unfortunately this issue is not due to our sling system or adapters, it is due to the engineers at FN for some reason using aluminum of all things as the sling attachment loops on a battle weapon. We and our customers have complained to FN about their aluminum attachment loops for years, however it falls on deaf ears at FN. The only other option is to get the Impact Weapon Components QD socket adapters that bolt to the factory FN loops. http://www.impactweaponscomponents.com/product/scar-qd-rl-sling-mount-n-slot-front-left-rear/ This way you can get our sling kit such as the Tavor sling kit which is the exact same sling, but with QD push button adapters instead of the MASH Clip Adapters. http://www.urbanertslings.com/israeli-tavor-urban-sentry-hybrid-sling-complete-kit-2-xx-xx/

    Fits Scar Rifle Well

Well thought out design, very good quality. Works very well with the rifle's existing mounting points. Easily adjustable, but not a lot of loose strap ends to contend with.
